What is collected

Only what you type into the contact form: your name, email address, business name if you give one, your message, and how you heard about us. The form also records the date, your IP address and your browser's user-agent string, which exist to stop automated spam and to prove when you gave consent.

Why it is collected

To reply to you. That is the whole purpose. It is not sold, shared, or used to add you to a mailing list unless you ticked the box asking for that.

Marketing email

Under Canada's anti-spam legislation, sending you a commercial message needs your consent. Sending an inquiry gives six months to reply about that inquiry. It does not put you on a list. If you ticked the updates box, you gave express consent, which lasts until you withdraw it, and every email will carry an unsubscribe link that works.

How long it is kept

Inquiries are kept for three years, then deleted. Consent records are kept for the same period because the law puts the burden of proof on the sender.

Who else touches it

• The web host, which stores the site and its data.
• The email provider, which delivers your message.
• Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site and sees the IP address of every visitor.

Your rights

You can ask to see what is held about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email [email protected] and it will be dealt with.
